Nadia Eke – Athlete
Nadia Eke decided to teach herself how to triple jump whilst she was still in high school. She turned to the Internet, watching videos of professional triple jumpers, proper technique, and strength exercises to facilitate her personal training.
She was an all-round sports person, she played soccer and basketball before finally finding her niche in triple jump.
In 2014, she earned a spot on the African Continental team after winning the silver medal at the African Championships and set the new Ghanaian outdoor national record with a 50-centimeter improvement.
Later, she competed in the 2014 Continental Cup where she earned 7th place as the youngest competitor in the field. She also won bronze at the African Games in Brazzaville in 2015 and named Ivy League Woman of the Year in the same year. Be inspired!
